International Relations Office promotes blood donation campaign
In October, the International Relations Office (DRI) promoted a blood donation campaign to Hemovale, Lajeado. On Tuesday 9, exchange students and Univates staff went to the blood bank to carry out the action, which aims to bring foreign students closer to the community, contributing to Hemovale and favoring the well-being of the regional population.
According to the person in charge of the Institutional exchanges, Marina Radavelli, actions like this are interesting for both parties involved.
"For foreigners, it is an opportunity to be part of our reality and make the exchange experience even richer and more profitable. For Hemovale, group donation helps to alleviate the constant need to supply the blood bank, helping save many lives in the Taquari Valley", she says.
This was the first time that DRI has promoted a blood donation campaign, which will be held on a semiannual basis, according to the arrival of exchange students to Univates.
