Farmácia-Escola is a partnership between UNIVATES, the Local Administration of Lajeado and the Department of Justice. It was was created to improve the quality of the Brazilian National Health Care System (SUS).

Farmácia-Escola helps users of the Brazilian National Health System get access to pharmaceutical compounding, homoeopathic and herbal remedies.

The local Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee establishes what medicine should be prepared and which are considered part of the National Register of Essential Medicine.

Located in Central Lajeado, on Rua Júlio de Castilhos, 125, Farmácia-Escola provides users with individualised assistance; classrooms and meeting rooms for teachers and healthcare professionals; adequate space for users to collect medicine; dedicated rooms for the preparation of homoeopathic, compounding and dermatology drugs.
