With staff and students from every kind of background, UNIVATES seeks to integrate people and yet keep their individuality. The institution values are based on freedom and full participation; the development of critical stance through theoretical and practical reflections; dialectical concept of knowledge and culture; constant technological and educational innovation; personal and group development; constructive and transparent interaction between the university and society.

HISTORY

Over the years of dedication to knowledge and to the local growth, 9.048 undergraduate students, 2.172 graduate students and 2.160 students from technical training courses have graduated from UNIVATES. 44 undergraduate courses (Bachelor, Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Technology), 1 foundation course, 13 technical training courses, 24 graduate courses, in addition to university extension courses are currently available.

Generate, mediate and spread scientific, technical and humanistic knowledge, considering the local characteristics and needs within a universal context, seeking continuous improvement in the quality of life.
