This study is the result of research conducted from a pedagogical intervention through training meetings with teachers, developed through systematic Hours Collective Pedagogical Work (HTPC) with a focus on teaching Mathematics through Problem Solving methodology. It was held in a school in municipal Boa Vista, Roraima, with a group of professors who teach on the 2nd and 3rd year of elementary school. The research aimed to answer that respects the systematization of hours Collective Pedagogical Work with emphasis on the teaching of mathematics influence the pedagogical work of polyvalent teachers who work in the early grades of elementary school. Based on questionnaires answered by teachers in the interviews, the observations in the nine meetings with the pedagogical coordinator and school teachers and theoretical framework to Bertucci (2009), Dante (2010), Borgo (2011), among other authors, which supported the research, it was found that the education of teachers in service allows common character issues can bring more teachers and encourage them to overcome the difficulties of the educational process. It was found also that the HTPC, planned to focus on learning, encouraged teachers to participate and exploit knowledge related to mathematical problem solving, offering therefore the possibility to giving more stimulating lessons to students. In this scenario, the research, supported by the observations of mathematics teachers as the problematizations and doubts around the problem-solving strategy had achieved its goal.
