Through the Concentration Areas Agrifood Biotechnology and Biotechnology in Health, PPGBiotec aims to train qualified human resources, capable of generating and disseminating scientific and technological knowledge focused on Biotechnology in the areas of food production, and human and animal health, with an integrated view of socio-environmental and economic perspectives.
The selection process takes place in a continuous flow, as per call for applications available on the website, or in specific calls for applications, also available on the website
In the regular regime, classes take place from March to June and from August to December, Fridays from 7 pm to 10 pm, and Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm. In the intensive regime, they take place in the months of January and July, Monday to Friday, in the mornings, from 9 am to 12 pm, and afternoons from 2 pm to 5 pm.
PPGBiotec seeks to combine basic research and applied research with the constant demands of the agrifood and health sectors for new biotechnological products and processes, without neglecting the national and international insertion of its professors and students.
